| Hi. I am finally able to find a site
with my Derrike on it. YES!!! Thank You! I
started liking Cope in '96. He has one of the best attitudes in racing. The race that
really made me like him was one where Ernie Irvin and Derrike had wrecked putting them
both out of the race. Ernie (as usual (my opinion only I am sure) ) accused Derrike of
wrecking him, when in all actuallity it was Irvin's fault. Derrike just sat back and let
Irvin say what was on his mind without so much as lashing back at him. Good job Derrike!
The cameras and the media asked Derrike how he felt about the wreck and Derrike just said
(not quoting), It happens and we'll be back next weekend. He could have had a bad attitude
about it like Irvin did but he was still the same happy go lucky Derrike even though he
couldn't finish the race. And he Was back the following weekend with a smile on his face
and a winning attitude with his supporters behind him all the way.
I think I bought stock in the Skittles company
with all the bags of Skittles candy I bought. But now we are buying Jimmy Dean. Maybe they
will give us some stock. Thank goodness my husband likes sausage. OK, just kidding.
My NASCAR fan friends tell me I need to pick a
different driver... here's what I tell them ... "No thanks, I like my Derrike and one
day he will get his break and luck will head his way." Besides I haven't found anyone
with the same attitude as Cope and I am not sure I ever will.
The #30 car is set as my wallpaper on my
computer's desktop. From my browser, I clicked on the picture and it said "Save as
Wallpaper". Well, I couldn't pass that up, could I?!?
THANKS DERRIKE, RENEE, AND THE TEAM FOR GIVING ME
SOMEONE TO WATCH ON NASCAR! I never miss a race if Derrike is driving. If he isn't, well,
why watch? |
