Sears DieHard 500 Live Report

We got to the race track late Friday and got set up for
the weekend. The infield was set up more "user friendly" this time. Saturday was
a beautiful day and we watched happy hour and the ARCA race. My husband said Tim Steele
would win. That night we braved the "strip" and walked up to the Camel Roadhouse
where we rode the simulator. That is really a neat experience.
Race day was perfect as we set up to watch the
race from atop the motorhome. Had a good view of turns 1 and 2 and part of the back
stretch. Derrike did great until he went into the wall. His crew did a great job for him
by not letting him get a lap down. He came back strong but we all know how it ended.
Derrike was probably home with his feet up by the
time we got out of the track! Got back home to MS at 3:30 A.M. and had to be at work at
8:00 A.M. The things we do for a good race!
