| On Atlanta, Derrike said "We
just have to concentrate on the qualifying. We have to get in around the top twenty,
somewhere above there, so we can start decent. Hopefully the weather will be good so we
can get a lot more practice time in and learn some more things there. Then that will get
us a pretty good baseline. We have a Daytona superspeedway, a short track at Richmond, an
intermediate track at Rockingham, and then Atlanta's a major superspeedway intermediate
type track. So we'll have four good races where we can take our data and look and see what
the tendencies of the car have been." The team will take two cars to the wind tunnel on March 4, "the car we're taking to Atlanta and another car that they've specifically done a lot of testing pieces on. It should be a really good valid test for us so we should learn more about the car. And that will apply to places like Darlington and Texas." In first round qualifying, the team placed in 38th position. Unfortunately, second round qualifying did not help and since the team does not yet have any provisionals, they will miss their first race of the season. |
