Derrike told us what his plans are for the weekend. He said, "I will be driving the #64 Sprint Cup car for Larry Gunselman at Martinsville, VA. I withdrew the #75 car because it looks like rain is eminent for Friday and the opportunity for me to drive was available."

In the first practice, Derrike was 43rd fastest with a time of 20.291 and speed of 93.322.

In Qualifying, Derrike produced his fastest lap at 20.244 with speed of 93.539. This put the #64 car in 43rd position where Derrike will start the race.

Derrike started the race in 43rd position and finished in 42nd.

Derrike provided an update of this past weekend. He said, "Regarding Martinsville, it felt good to be back at the Cup level. We were not as good as I had hoped in qualifying but the car was productive at the start of the race, but obviously with no sponsorship it became a short effort. I still learned some things that I believe will help me with my own effort."
