The #74 Dodge will head to New Hampshire.

In the first practice, Derrike was 40th fastest with a time of 30.055 and speed of 126.728.

In Qualifying, Derrike's fastest lap was 30.240 with a speed of 125.952. This was not fast enough for the #74 Dodge to make the race.

After the qualifying attempt, Derrike said this, "I have to provide you with the details of a frustrating day. We again unloaded fairly well but the car was still not turning good in the middle of the corner. We worked hard and tried a number of combinations for the chassis but could only manage to run a 30.05. That would have been good enough to make the race. We probably made some wrong choices and made the car too tight and the front tires started chattering in the corners and it would not turn. I am upset with myself because we gave this one away! It is tough to take but that is the reality of it all."
