Pre-Race

The JumpFly Sundance Vacations #74 Dodge will reach out to millions of NASCAR fans nationwide on July 9th at Chicagoland Speedway’s USG Sheetrock 400. JumpFly’s logo will be featured on the hood of McGlynn Racing’s #74 Dodge, driven by Derrike Cope, previous winner of the Daytona 500. This sponsorship will significantly increase JumpFly exposure and awareness as research indicates more than 75 million Americans (one in three American adults) follow NASCAR, and television coverage reaches an average of 9.6 million viewers each race.

Official Report

Derrike updated us after qualifying. "We unloaded off the truck pretty well. We had difficulty finding the necessary grip in the car to pick up more speed. We were however, right with our competition prior to qualifying. We need to add some things to our cars that will allow us to tighten up our cars with the aero package that we have. When qualifying time came, I was very confident in the fact that I would and could pick up speed to get in the race, but during the qualifying laps we immediately developed a severe vibration which loosened the car up to a great extent and I could not hang on to it. Upon inspection after qualifying we found the problem. It was a mistake on our part that cost us this weekend. You cannot afford to make a mistake in this business against this type of competition and expect to get away with it. We will regroup and go up to Loudon, NH and try and redeem ourselves.
