2005 Nextel Cup Season

Quest Motor Racing is working together with S.W.A.T. Racing for a Nextel Cup and a Busch Series car. They are planning to field a pair of Chevrolets at Daytona. Derrike will be driving the #55 Chevrolet in Nextel Cup. Larry Hollenbeck will be driving the Busch entry.

The team will be running Morgan McClure engines in the #55 at Daytona. Their engines performed well at Daytona testing and Derrike has had previous opportunities to work with both Larry McClure and Ron Puyureur, their engine builder. The team was pleased and excited to announce that Year One Corporation will be sponsoring them for the Daytona 500 and will be an associate sponsor for the balance of the season. The Daytona car decal layout will feature both Year One Corp and Muscle Performance.

Derrike also drove for Conely Motor Sports in Michigan.

At the end of the season he drove for McGlynn Racing for the last two races with Buyers Choice/Royal Administration. He is also scheduled to drive in 2006 for the team.
