LOUDON, N.H. - Former
Daytona 500 winner Derrike Cope has seen the realization of a years-long
dream come to fruition. The two-time NASCAR Winston Cup race winner, who put
his own team together two years ago, will have primary sponsorship from
Paramount Hospitality Management LLC (PHM) for the 2004 season.
"This is something we have been working on since late last year," said Cope,
who owns Quest Motor Racing, which will field the #37 PHM Chevrolet.
"Since we started this race team a couple of years ago we have been working
hard to get a solid, quality primary sponsor," Cope said. "Paramount
Hospitality Management LLC is on board for the full 2004 season, but has
also given us leeway for additional sponsorship and cross-promotional
opportunities. For Quest Motor Racing, this is a great, great day."
Paramount Hospitality Management LLC is a South San Francisco-based
international corporation which owns or manages 56 lodging properties in the
United States, and is one of the top hospitality, lodging and resort
consulting companies in the world with over 200 hotel clients.
"PHM is an established company that is growing rapidly," said David Lane,
corporate president. "To have the opportunity to work as a sponsorship
partner with Derrike Cope and Quest Motor Racing, also established names
that are growing within their industry, is a tremendous opportunity. We are
very excited to be a part of Derrike’s future and the success we know he and
his race team are going to enjoy."
PHM will utilize sponsorship of the car for branding, not only of its
current activities and logo but also a unique new reservations product that
will become available in 2004.
"This is the beginning of what we hope will be a long-term relationship,"
Lane said. "All of us at PHM have a tremendous amount of respect for
Derrike, not just as a driver but as a great person as well. He will be a
wonderful representative of the quality we offer our customers and clients
in the hospitality industry."
