for 6th place at the time. The team may have to go to a backup car. At the

Derrike shared the following regarding
his run at Bristol. “In Cup qualifying I was intent on turning another fast
lap and got back into the throttle a little early and lost it. Mike and the
crew did a super job of preparing our backup car. I hated to put them
through that. In the race we had a solid performance and overall raced
pretty well. The car was tight all day. We kept adjusting on it throughout
the race. The Fitz-Bradshaw crew did a good job with our pit stops. I am
delighted with our team, their attitude and work ethic. Mike is a superb
crew chief. We are running strong engines. The key for us is to secure
sponsor funding. That will enable us to enhance what we can do."
