Derrike will be driving in Phoenix with PHM on the car.
In the first practice, Derrike was 44th fastest with a time
of 27.850 and speed of 129.264.
Derrike went out as the 39th car to qualify and produced a
lap of 27.831 and speed of 129.352. This was only good enough for 38th
position at the time and unfortunately at the end of the round, Derrike was
in 44th position where he missed the race.

Derrike said after the weekend, "The big issue for us at Phoenix was
handling. We were 30 minutes late to practice due to problems with the
steering box. Our car was loose in practice. However, each time we came in
for adjustments our speed picked up when we went back out. In qualifying we
were okay in turns one and two. However, we were wicked loose in three and
four. As a result we just didn't make the cut. Once again we learned a lot
from our experience that will serve to assist us in our quest to become more
competitive."
