Derrike will be driving in Bristol with Friendly's as sponsor. Derrike commented, "We are looking forward to Bristol. We had a good qualifying effort there earlier in the year and ran well until we encountered mechanical problems. In addition to Friendly’s, we are pleased to have SP Films join us as a major Associate Sponsor."

In the first practice, Derrike was 45th fastest with a time of 15.576 and speed of 123.189.

After a rain-delayed qualifying time, Derrike produced a lap of 15.667 and speed of 122.474. Unfortunately at the end of the round the #37 Chevrolet was put in 46th position so the team will miss the race.

Derrike informed us about Bristol. He said, "This past weekend was a huge disappointment to myself along with the crew of the Friendly's Chevrolet. We had the car a little too tight when it came to the chassis set-up and during my qualifying lap I got sideways and that was all it took to not run fast enough. The field was separated by less than two-tenths of a second, thus we were not up in the points enough to get a provisional. So we will go to Darlington, Richmond, and back to Loudon. We will continue to work hard to get better in all areas."
