Derrike will be heading to Michigan for the GFS Marketplace 400 with Friendly's as sponsor.

In the first practice, Derrike was 40th fastest with a time of 39.287 and speed of 183.267.

In qualifying, Derrike produced a lap of 38.836 and speed of 185.395. This was not fast enough for the top 36 so the team took a provisional and Derrike will be starting in 43rd position.

In the second practice, Derrike was 43rd fastest with a time of 41.022 and speed of 175.516.

In Happy Hour, he was again 43rd fastest with a time of 41.212 and speed of 174.706.

Derrike started the race in 43rd position and finished in 34th position.

Looking back on last his 34th place finish at Michigan Derrike remarked, "I was really not happy with our performance at Michigan last week. We took a car that we hadn't run much because of damage to some of our other units. We struggled with handling and some motor issues. We made a bad choice in manifolds for the race and as a result our engine lacked output. We will continue to forge ahead and benefit from our experience."
