Derrike will be driving the #37 Chevrolet with primary sponsor
Friendly's.
Rain cancelled qualifying so the field was set by NASCAR
rules. This put Derrike in the 42nd position where he will start the race.
In the second practice, Derrike was 41st fastest with a time
of 30.207 and speed of 126.090. During practice, Derrike scuffed the wall in
turns 1 and 2, depositing debris that brought out a red flag.
In Happy Hour, he was 41st fastest with a time of 29.987 and
speed of 127.015.

Derrike started the race in 42nd position
and finished in 35th position.

Derrike said this about the race, "We had some problems
primarily with brakes...way too much rear brake which was causing a loose
condition going into the corner. We wore out the rear brake pads which is
something you just do not do. It was the first time running these new brakes
which are really tricky. We did however finish the race and had pretty good
pit stops for not getting to run a lot of the races. So overall we felt like
we learned a lot and will make some changes before returning to Loudon in
September for Friendly's."
