Derrike and Quest Motor Racing will be taking the Friendly's
car, along with Great Barrier Reef Online as an associate sponsor to
Charlotte for the Coca-Cola 600.
Qualifying was rained out Thursday night and was rescheduled
for Friday.
For some reason, Derrike did not take any practice in the
first practice held.
In qualifying, he had a lap of 30.403 and speed of 177.614.
This was only good for 46th at the end of the round and the #37 Chevrolet
missed the show.

Regarding the teams failure to qualify at Charlotte, Derrike
commented, "Exiting pit road for our first practice run we stuck a lifter and as
a result we spent the practice time changing engines. Due to the rain, track
conditions at Charlotte were different than what we saw running the Winston
Open. Without practice we didn’t hit the correct setup for qualifying. Our first
lap we turned a 30.40, one half second less than the 29.90 that we needed to
make the race. Obviously, we were disappointed. However, we will learn from our
experience and move forward. We are prepared to turn things around for this
weekend. We know that we need to battle hard and will do so."
