Derrike will be piloting the #37 Chevrolet at the Martinsville Speedway this weekend. Commenting on Martinsville, Derrike indicated that, "We are looking forward to Martinsville. We will be running the same car as we ran in Bristol. Based on our run there we have made some modifications specific to the track at Martinsville. Following Martinsville we will run at California and will be running a new car there in the Auto Club 500. Martinsville and California will provide us the opportunity for our team to gain additional experience to prepare us to represent Friendly’s well at Richmond in the Pontiac Excitement 400."

In the first practice, Derrike was 39th fastest with a time of 20.591 and speed of 91.963.

In qualifying, Derrike produced a lap of 20.699 and speed of 91.483. This was not fast enough to make the top 36 but the team was able to take a provisional so they will start the race in 42nd position.

In the second practice, Derrike had a time of 23.234 and speed of 81.501.

In Happy Hour, Derrike had a time of 21.081 and speed of 89.825.
