Derrike will be driving the Quest Motor Racing #37 Ford at the upcoming Winston Open at the Charlotte Motor Speedway. He is pleased to announce his affiliation with Sound Moves as the team sponsor for the Winston Open. Since Sound Moves is affiliated with the music industry, singer Wynonna will be on the hood of the #37 car.

In Friday's first practice, Derrike was 17th fastest with a time of 30.96 and speed of 174.407. Kevin Lepage did not practice.

In the second practice, Derrike was 15th fastest with a time of 30.115 and speed of 179.306. Kevin was 16th fastest with a time of 30.134 and speed of 179.199.

Derrike attempted to qualify twice but both times had to pull the car in because of an engine problem. This means the #37 Sound Moves Ford will be starting in 23rd position. The problem was that a spark plug tip broke off and thus when the car got up to speed it was only running on seven cylinders.

Kevin Lepage turned in a time of 29.955 and speed of 180.27. This put the GEICO Direct Ford into 6th position at the time. At the end of the round the #38 Ford was left in 15th position.

In Happy Hour, Derrike was 20th fastest with a time of 31.156 and speed of 173.321. Kevin Lepage was 16th fastest with a time of 30.722 and speed of 175.769.
