In Friday's practice, Derrike was 27th fastest of the 49 drivers with a time of 32.282 and speed of 167.275. Derrike took the track as the 35th driver in first round qualifying and produced a time of 168.935 and speed of 31.965. This put the #15 Fenley-Moore Motorsports Ford in 20th position at the time. At the end of the round, the team was left in 26th position. In Saturday morning practice, Derrike was 47th fastest with a time of 33.899 and speed of 159.296. The team decided to stand on their first round qualifying time and will start the race in 26th position. In Happy Hour, Derrike was 30th fastest with a time of 33.060 and speed of 163.339. The team had obtained sponsorship from Everything Commerce.com for this race and the next in Atlanta. After Atlanta, they would decide if they wanted to do a sponsorship for the rest of the year.
