Welcome!
This will be our third consecutive annual meeting,
and for the third time in a row, the size of the group planning to attend has increased.
Including Derrike's invited guests, and some potential local press, we expect
nearly 85 people at this year's meeting. Each year has also seen an improvement
in the meeting facilities. While we have had a great time in past years, our officers
decided that a nominal charge would help us to provide a better location this year, and we hope that all those attending
will give us their feedback so that we can make informed decisions for next year's activities.
According to the hotel web page,
data ports are located in the guest rooms, so if all goes well, we may
be able to provide updates to the fan club website during the weekend!

Planned Activities
Fan Club Officers will start to arrive at the hotel on Thursday, the 13th.
Feel free to look us up at the hotel, especially if you are familiar with the immediate area,
as we are not. Those persons who volunteered to help with the meeting can contact us at
any time.
Friday evening July 14 we will be having an informal get acquainted time at the
Hideaway Lounge in the Holiday Inn beginning at 8 PM. If you are in town, please stop by.
The meeting will be held at the hotel on Saturday, July 15th.
Ask at the hotel registration desk for the location of our meeting
room. Our meeting registration
will begin at 11:30 AM with the program planned to start at 12 noon.
A buffet lunch is included and the agenda is shown below.
That evening, we will be
assembling at Evergreen Speedway to watch Derrike's nieces race.
Be certain that you call for your tickets. You can purchase your
tickets by calling the speedway at 360-805-6100. Identify yourself as being
with the Derrike Cope Fan Club to be seated with our group. Also, you will
receive a $2 discount on your ticket. That will reduce an adult admission to
