Richard Foster

I have known Derrike pretty much most of our lives. We grew up together in Spanaway where I still live. We played on the school baseball team and the golf team together in High School where in fact we won the championship in 1976. That itself pretty much explains why I am a Derrike fan.

Living out here in the beautiful Northwest doesn't give us a chance to see any races but I am glued to the TV any time qualifying or races are on rooting for Derrike the entire time.

I spoke with Derrike a couple of weeks ago on the phone and my neighbor Gene Crane and I are planning a trip to Charlotte next May. I am really looking forward to seeing Derrike and my first Nascar Race.

I have read the other Fan Page stories and everyone talks about how down to earth and nice Derrike is. Well I want to let everyone know it is not an act as he has been that way his entire life. Even when we were kids he was always very nice to everyone.

Thanks for the page and keep the fans coming, he is worth it.
