I used to be strictly an open wheel racing fan, until I got to go to a NASCAR race at the Michigan track in '89. I didn't know any of the drivers, but I instantly fell in love with Stock Car racing.

My love was made greater following Speedweek leading up to Daytona 1990, and we all know what happened on that Sunday!! Right then and there, I decided I was going to be a Derrike Cope fan. I've been a Diehard ever since, rooting for Derrike all these years even with him on all those different teams.

Even though the success hasn't been there recently, I'm religously watching every Sunday, thinking this is gonna' be the week! All my NASCAR friends rib me for pulling for somebody who "doesn't have a chance," but I tell 'em when Cope wins his 3rd career race, it will be all too sweet.

I'm really excited about the marriage with Bahari' Racing, and I agree with Derrike when he says this is his best opporitunity since '90. My friends say I say this every year, but I truly feel this is Derrike's year, not a championship or anything, but a win or two, and a top ten finish in points is not a stretch!! GO GET EM DERRIKE!!
