I became a Derrike fan about the time Mane & Tail came into the picture. I use the same shampoo so it seemed natural to chose him. I have sent several different items to him for autographs from his days with Bobby Allison up to the present time, and he has always taken the time out to do it. One of my prized Derrike items is a stand-up of him with the Skittles uniform on. You wouldn't believe how many grocery stores I called down south to find one! I finally got one from M&M Mars. Boy was I a happy camper.
I used to call his race shops and PR people all the time trying to find out about fan clubs and personel appearances; most people were helpful. I'm glad I have a computer now so I can keep up with other members. My goal for the past couple of years has been to meet Derrike and I finally did at the Winston Cup Preview. I had my picture taken with him. I wish I had a computer before that so I could have met a lot of fellow members. I hope everyone enjoys the pictures that are with this page. Picture credit goes to my friend on the Gumout one, I forgot about bringing a camera. I don't want to bore anyone with a long story so I'll end it here. I hope to get into the chat someday soon.
