Jared Martin

Hello, my name is Jared Martin and I consider myself Derrike's #1 fan. I'm sure that many other people feel that they are, and that's great. I have been a fan since he started in Winston Cup.

The reason I started liking Derrike is that my grandfather, Pat Robinson, is friends with Bob Whitcomb, the owner of Derrike's team when he won the Daytona 500 in '90.

I met Derrike for the first time this year at New Hampshire. Bob Whitcomb introduced me to him in his garage, and of course I got autographs and had my picture taken with him. He told us how the car was running and about how the track was breaking up in turn four. Derrike was a real nice guy, he answered all my questions, and did not just brush me off like some other drivers did.

I know Derrike has the talent to win races and have consistent up front finishes. I would like to see Derrike with a team that has enough money to give him a car that can keep up with the big money teams. If Bobby Allison can come up with the money that would be great.

Well I hope Derrike can see this page in the future so he can see how many DIEHARD fans he has.
