| I met Derrike Cope on
pit road at Pocono in 2003. He was walking by before qualifying signing for
all the fans. When Derrike got to me, he signed for me, but sadly I was
having camera problems so I didn't get a picture with him. While he was
signing he talked to me for a while about how the car was, where I was from,
and things like that. When he was about to leave I wished him good luck.
Then he turned around and told me, "Thanks, I could use all the good luck I
can get," and he smiled.
Derrike is such a nice guy and he deserves
only the best. I cheer for him during the races, and I even have a little
standup card of him near the TV. I will support him, no matter what car he
is in. But most of all, I will pray for him to be safe.
