The #92 kraft Foods, Inc. team and
substitute driver, David Green, are looking to change their luck in Talladega. They have
experienced some tough times in the past few weeks with driver, Derrike Cope, crashing
into the wall in Texas, revisiting injuries sustained in early March at Atlanta Motor
Speedway. Engine problems and an accident have plagued the #92 team throughout the first
quarter of the season.
However, co-owner Mac Martin, is
optimistic about the upcoming Touchstone energy 300. "We went to test in Talladega
and everything went real well. The Kraft Foods team was able to adapt easily to rule
changes when other teams had a little trouble," commented Martin.
David Green realizes the importance
of a strong car on the 2.66 mile Superspeedway. "I like Talladega! The way the car is
set-up is probably more important here than at any other track," said Green. The last
time Green competed in a Busch Grand National race at Talladega was on July 27, 1996. At
that race, he started in 19th position and managed to secure a 10th place finish.
The Kraft Foods team is excited
about this weekend's Touchstone Energy 300. They will have the chance to turn their luck
around and make a run at the checkered flag.

David Green started the race in 11th position and
was involved in an early wreck which left the #92 Kraft Chevrolet in 42nd position.. |
