Pre-Race

Derrike will be driving the #73 Dodge in Dover with the sponsor RagingBid.com. RagingBid.com is an "online penny auction" company that allows its customers to bid on a variety of quality merchandise for just pennies. www.RagingBid.com

Derrike said, "The Monster Mile is next on our agenda. I am looking forward to this weekend and we have a lot to talk about. First off we will have a new sponsor on board this week along with Charter. It is RagingBid.com. We are pleased and excited to have a group of their executives attending the race with us. Dover has always been a place that suits me and my confidence going into this weekend is high. The car we are taking is the same car that qualified so well at Bristol. The new engine package ran well there and I expect good things here too. I am looking forward running the race and hopefully come away with a great finish.

"We continue to work diligently to find support but it is hard to believe that the season has gone by so quickly, so we have to begin to look towards next year and how to best position things for that.

"We have some exciting things happening for the twins. We have secured some sponsorship for them to run the Martinsville Truck Series race. We still are looking for additional co-primaries for both trucks but obviously need more help. So all in all I am happy where things are going but my main focus is Dover and providing a great race to showcase RagingBid.com and Charter."

In the first practice, Derrike was 16th fastest with a time of 24.262 and speed of 148.380.

In qualifying, Derrike's fastest lap was 24.149 with speed of 149.074. At the end of the round this was fast enough for 35th position.

Official Report

After the race Derrike said, "Well the Monster wins again. Our weekend did not go as planned. The car was quick off the truck with the 16th fastest practice speed. In qualifying we went out last and we had made some tire pressure adjustments for the tires we had (spring weight) wise and got the car too tight and it did not want to turn. But still not bad, but I expected more.

"We only had 7 laps of practice so the race was a real guess on what final adjustments we would make. We started off the race bottoming out which was a struggle all race but we were having a solid day for our sponsors RagingBid.com and Charter, but just after lap 106 we had a part failure in the right front of the car coming off turn two and I slammed the outside retaining wall and that sent me down to the inside wall which ended our day. So we need to regroup and see what will be our next opportunity."
