Derrike will drive the #4 Chevrolet for Jay Robinson Racing in Darlington.

In the first practice, Derrike was 29th fastest with a time of 30.093 and speed of 163.413. In the second practice, he was also 29th fastest with a time of 28.988 and speed of 169.643. He did not participate in the third practice.

In Qualifying, Derrike was scheduled to go out as the 25th of 45 cars. He produced his fastest lap of 28.990 with a speed of 169.631. At the end of the round, the #4 Chevrolet was left in 30th position where Derrike will start the race.

Derrike started the race in 30th position and finished in 32nd position after an accident.

After the race, Derrike updated us by saying, "I was pleased with our effort at Darlington. We did not run many laps in practice but still had a decent qualifying lap. We did not run any laps in race configuration, but the car was not bad. We had a bit of a problem just prior to the start of the race. A right rear brake line had developed a hole in it and I had no brakes. We came to the garage on the pace laps for repair and got on the track only one lap down, but got the lucky dog and were back on the lead lap. We ran fairly well all night and was running 24th when Kertus Davis wrecked us. We could have finished in the top twenty."
