Derrike will be driving the #52 Best Western Chevrolet for Jimmy Means in Phoenix.

In the first practice, Derrike was 35th fastest with a time of 28.847 and speed of 124.796. In the second practice, he was 36th fastest with a time of 29.222 and speed of 123.195.

In Qualifying, Derrike produced a lap of 28.887 with speed of 124.623. This put the car in 35th position to start the race.

Derrike started the race in 35th position and ended in 35th.

After the race, Derrike said, "It was not a bad weekend for us. We only had one set of tires to practice, qualify, and race on, so we did pretty well in my opinion. We worked hard on the coil bind setup and we are still off some there. I was unable to get the car to travel the right amount. It may have been shock related. I will go through all the shocks that I have and try and have a better combination for Richmond in a few weeks. When we started the race in Phoenix we were already spotting them quite a few laps on tires but managed to stay with them for a while. It was an enjoyable weekend and we will look ahead."
