Derrike will be driving in the Busch race this weekend driving the #49 Chevrolet. He said, "I will be driving the 49 Busch car for Jay Robinson but it will just be a start and park.  We will also have an open test day at Bristol for the Busch Series on Thursday from 1 to 5 pm."

In the first practice, Derrike was 24th fastest with a time of 16.301 and speed of 117.711.

Derrike gave us an update Friday saying, "When we went to Bristol on Thursday we only ran 7 laps and the car was pretty decent. With no backup and just doing a start and park Jay Robinson opted to park it until Friday.

"This morning we went out and made 4 laps and we were 24th fastest when practice ended. Jay Robinson decided not to go out in the final practice. I will just qualify the car this evening at 4:30pm EST. We go out 22nd."

In Qualifying, Derrike produced his fastest lap of 17.130 with a speed of 112.014. At the end of the round, this left the #49 start and park car in 45th position which was not good enough to make the race.
