Derrike told us, "I will also be in the 28 Busch Series car for Jay Robinson Racing. It will be a Chevrolet. Practice starts at 9 am on Friday for Busch. I am pleased to have the extra practice time from the Busch car which I think will help with the Cup effort. I will provide an update Friday evening on how the day went."

Speed Zone was the sponsor for the #28 car. The team did not participate in the first practice. In the second practice, Derrike had a fastest time of 24.922 which was 39th fastest.

After the first day, Derrike said, "We did not get but two laps in the Busch car. But there are only 42 cars so we are taking a conservative approach. We will just qualify it tomorrow and see what happens."

In Qualifying, Derrike produced a lap of 24.768 with speed of 145.349. At the end of the round, the #28 Speed Zone Energy Drink/Advil Ford was in 37th position where Derrike will start the race.

Derrike started the race in 37th position and finished in 33rd position.

After the race, Derrike said, "We should have finished better in the Busch race but we broke the link for the sway bar with about 40 laps to go. We just had to run around and finish. I think we ended up 33rd, and got the first finish for Speed Zone."
