Derrike notified us that he will be driving in the Busch race this weekend.

In the first practice, Derrike was 37th fastest with a time of 30.747 and speed of 123.876. After the practice, Derrike said this, "I made three laps in the car and I will make a qualifying attempt on Saturday. I guess we will see what happens." The team did not make a practice run in the second practice.

In Qualifying, Derrike's fastest lap was 30.787 with speed of 123.715. At the end of the round this was fast enough for 39th position.

Derrike started the race in 39th position and ended in 36th.

After the race, Derrike said, "In starting the race I did not really know what to expect from the Advil Ford Fusion. We had 3 laps of practice before qualifying and it was an impound race. We started out too tight. We were able to free the car up some and were not too bad. The leader was really fast and put a lot of cars down laps early. I managed to miss the wreck coming off turn four which could have been a bad one. But later just after half way, NASCAR inspectors made us come back in the pits coming back to the green, which cost us laps under the green. This was a poor call on their part bringing us in so late when they could have had us come in earlier. So Jay elected to call it a day to save the time on the engine."
