Derrike notified us that he will be driving in the Busch race this weekend. He said, "I will be driving the number 49 Ford Fusion for Jay Robinson at Chicagoland." In the first practice, Derrike was 39th fastest with a time of 31.953 and speed of 168.998. Derrike updated us by saying, "As for the Busch car, we were not too bad in final practice. We qualify today. We do not know how the draw and the weather will affect us, but hopefully all goes well and we get in. I think that we will only run a short period of time though no matter what. I will update you on our day later on." In the second practice, Derrike was 33rd fastest with a time of 31.481 and speed of 171.532. In Qualifying, Derrike had his fastest lap at 31.630 and speed of 170.724. Even though this was faster than other competitors, the others got to use provisionals and the team missed the race. |
