Derrike told us, "This update is to let you know that I will be driving the #28 car for Jay Robinson Racing this weekend at Bristol. We will also be carrying a new Primary Sponsor for this weekend, "Mighty EZY", a new cleaning product that has been developed by Ken Alexander. We are very excited to debut this product on the number 28 car, and look forward to having a productive weekend at Bristol. I always enjoy going to Bristol and have run well there for the most part. There is a large car count of very good cars so we will have to be well prepared."

In the first practice, Derrike was 40th fastest with a time of 15.791 with a speed of 121.512.

In qualifying, Derrike was one of 53 drivers to try and make the field. He pulled out a fastest lap of 15.732 with a speed of 121.968. At the end of the round Derrike was in the show starting in 37th position.

Derrike started the race in 37th position and finished in 39th during the twice rain delayed race. NASCAR listed the status as No Driver, and Derrike said, "Just say that the car owner said to go ahead and leave, that they were not going to run any more laps."
