From the track, Derrike gave us this update
before the race. "As for practice on Friday, we were 38th fastest. It is
raining now and they have cancelled qualifying and will start by points. I
do not know if the rain is going to quit as it is looking doubtful."
After the race, Derrike answered a question on
who the sponsor was this weekend and he replied, "There was no sponsor for
the Busch car this weekend. As for the race, we were running one lap down to
the leaders and thought we would get back on the lead lap, but we pitted
under green. The lugs were not tight when the jack was let down, and when I
took off I had to stop and back up to my pit and the left rear tire came off
which caused us to lose some laps. As a result, we finished 35th."
