Derrike will be at the wheel of the #28 Ford car for Jay Robinson Racing in Richmond. Derrike said, "We will be running the Busch car this weekend at Charlotte only. We hope to have a good run in Jay's car and keep the car in the top 30 in car owners points." During qualifying, they said HoodiaChoice.com was the sponsor.

In the first practice, Derrike was 49th fastest with a time of 31.142 and 173.399. In the second practice, he was 47th fastest with a time of 30.951 and speed of 174.469.

In Qualifying, Derrike produced a first lap of 30.690 with a speed of 175.953. The second lap was slower at 31.159 with speed of 173.31. At the end of the round, he was left in 40th position where he will start the race.

Derrike started the race in 40th position and finished in 42nd position after trouble.

Derrike had this to say about the race. "The car started out a little tight, but with one adjustment the car felt pretty good. But, unfortunately the engine blew up which ended our night very early. I guess we will have to wait and see what the future will hold."
