Looking back on Saturday's race, Derrike
provided the following assessment. "We tried a different engine supplier for
Saturday's Las Vegas race. Unfortunately, that engine didn't produce the
power that we had hoped for. We need to continue to pursue getting more
horses under the hood in order to be competitive. Our team did a good job
with the handling during the race and as a result the car handled better as
the race progressed. We will continue to focus on getting more horsepower,
That, of course, is related to securing sponsorship. We are actively
pursuing sponsorship for the #28 and have some good things in the works. If
they materialize we will have the funding to improve our program. Right now,
we will put last week behind us and prepare for Atlanta. One thing is for
sure, we will keep battling."
