In the first practice, Derrike was 32nd fastest with a time of 49.948 and speed of 180.187.

In qualifying, he produced a lap of 51.144 and speed of 175.974. This was not fast enough for the top 36 so the team took a provisional and will be starting in 38th position.

In Happy Hour, Derrike was 40th fastest with a time of 50.370 and speed of 178.678.

Derrike started the race in 38th position and finished in 35th. The team had engine problems before the race and Derrike was forced to the back of the field to start the race.
