According to web sources, practice speeds were 0.585 seconds slower than the fastest in the field; good enough for 34th position.

In qualifying, the team improved in comparison to the rest of the field. Derrike took the track and produced a time of 15.753 for a speed of 121.797. This was 0.558 seconds back from the fastest. This put the #94 car in 32rd position which was fast enough to make the race.

Happy hour speeds were 119.335, 16.079, which was 0.457 seconds slower than the fastest in the field. This apparently did not keep pace with improvements in the field, as they were 36th fastest.

Derrike did a good job missing most of the numerous accidents, finishing the race in 21st position.
